The King's (The Cathedral) School Library

Welcome to the King's (The Cathedral) School Library

The library is a quiet and calm environment conducive to quiet reading and study.  It is open every school day from 8am to 4.15pm. The library holds a stock of over 14,000 books, subscriptions to two daily newspapers and 35 periodicals, a collection of audio books and DVDs, as well as a selection of online videos available through the online platform: ClickView.

The library has eight networked computers and twenty-nine iPads for use within the library or in classrooms. There are also six digital still cameras and six digital camcorders for use within school. The library maintains a Connexions careers library with books and leaflets on careers information, university and college prospectuses, and a variety of careers information databases.

The library runs a book club during lunchtime on Tuesdays, and a film club during lunchtime on Thursdays.

The Library Book Club

Over the summer term, we are reading Boy in the Tower by Polly Ho-Yen and The Nest by Kenneth Oppel.  The book club meets on Tuesdays (Week 2) from 1.45pm in the school library.
